Mail sent from the U.S. takes about two weeks to arrive in Freetown. However, it may be several more weeks before the letters make it all the way to my village. Mail service can be somewhat inconsistent, so the Peace Corps recommends numbering all the letters that you send. That way I'll know if one got lost!
